1950s Vintage

The 50s saw Dior's New Look continue from the late 40s with very full skirts, cinched waists and elegant sloping shoulders on jackets. The narrow high rise pencil skirt was also another popular look. Casual ladies fashion consisted of skirts and jackets or day dresses in tweeds or wools whilst dresses were seen in bold floral prints or plain fabrics. The waist length slightly cropped cardigan was a 1950s must have and often features sequin or beaded embellishments.
