  • Such a stunning find! An art deco flapper overlay dress. This exquisite dress is made from a fine and intricate spun gold mesh with an with a beautiful Klimt like circular design with a waterfall of leaves, flowers and abstract patterns. The dress has a dropped waist with a split at the front – adding the finishing touch to this classic 1920s piece. The dress is unlined and pulls over the head and will need a slip or under garments. It really sparkles in the sun or under lights – so would look superb for a special occasion.

It is an incredible piece of history – it brings such a smile to the face to think of it being enjoyed 100 years ago! It is a fantastic chance to add a piece of history to your wardrobe and continue the story of this remarkable dress.

  • Care: No care label
  • Condition: Excellent vintage condition, especially considering the age. There is a small vertical tear on the side below the drop waist, but not noticeable - especially as it is in a thinner part of the mesh. Due to the construction of the dress, there are very small frayed ends of the thread showing on the the very bottom and split as these have not been finished with a rimmed edge (such as the neckline) to allow for the design shape of the mesh. Slightly darker under the armpit.
