Vintage 60s Ossie Clark Quorum Wool Tartan Dress

£350.00 GBP

  • This incredible vintage 1960s Quorum dress is the perfect audition to any wardrobe and vintage clothing collection. This stunning dress is from one of the early Quorum collections in the mid 60s, roughly around 1964-1966. Made from wool in London it is fully lined with a shift dress silhouette a long sleeves, the wonderful square cut collared neckline opens the dress up and gives it a mod scooter girl look that is still as cool today. The two patch pockets on the chest is a fun playful addition and the wonderful warm brown colours and tartan print makes this dress the ultimate autumn / winter dress. Wear it with long boots to complete the 60s look, this dress is in fabulous condition and I believe it was designed by Ossie Clark.

Quorum was the very cool swinging sixties boutique where Alice Pollock, Ossie Clark + Celia Birtwell famously worked together to create incredible designs to dress the super stylish in London's fashion and music scene in the 60s through to the 70s. Quorum pieces are incredibly hard to find as they were all made by hand by the designers themselves in limited numbers as they bought fabric as a when they saw it.
