This STUNNING 1960's black cocktail dress is not only beautiful, one of a kind and so much fun to wear it also has a fabulous story to go with it! This dress really has seen the world and travelled in style whilst doing so, it was owned by a dancer on the famous Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) ship and boy does this dress scream glamour. I adore the beautiful bow waist band detail, the layered bodice that has been layered with crepe style sheer black fabric, sequins and beads and the high mandarin neckline which has a braided appearance to it. The skirt section of this dress is also beautiful with its many layers of black fabric it has great volume to it without being over the top. The make this dress truly the ultimate little black dress it is in stunning condition and was made for Saks Fifth Avenue, perfect indeed.
This dress is very rare and was made by Richard Blauners for Saks Fifth Avenue in the late 50s early 60s, it was also union made in America
