Ordette Barsa was a luxury lingerie maker in the early 1930s to her death in 1975. She was fondly referred to as the 1st lady of fifth avenue and had great success in her career. This late 30s early 40 sheer black slip dress is a perfect example of her quality work that is still elegant and timeless today. The ruffled square cut neckline allows you to wear the dress on or off the shoulder and has a beautiful subtle polka pattern to the fabric. The sleeves have very pretty super fine ribbon bows on and the pleat detail on the front bodice adds just the right amount of detail to the dress, with its bias cut sheath silhouette and beautiful matching fabric waist tie this dress really is stunning.
